Meeting Minutes

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

1. Fees are due October 14th.

   a) New members- $35

   b) Existing members- $15 (if you would like a gold cord for graduation, it is an extra $8).

2. Ice Breaker

   a) We asked each member what they did this past weekend.

3. Ideas for Events

   a) Stephanie thought of the International Folk Festival in Milwaukee. It is from November 20th-22nd. There is art, music, a market place, food and dancing. It is a multi-cultural experience for all to enjoy. If any member would like to come, please come to the next meeting.

   b) Another idea was to take a train to Chicago on a Saturday or Sunday and go to a museum and explore the city.

4. Community Service

  a) Having a game night/craft night at a local nursing home.

  b) Caroling around Christmas time

      i) Please keep the first weekend in December open if you would like to join in. Camilla Simon will have more information on this at the next meeting.

5. Other Events

   a) Winter Alumni event- (Contact Kim Wright-Wooten if you would like to come). We will have further information closer to the date of the event.

   b) PAC- Museum of Broadcast field trip- (Will get dates soon. Ask Stephanie for any further questions).

6. Next Meeting

   a) The next meeting will be held on October 21st at 11 in CA 137. Please come and bring your ideas for events for the next meeting.
