Email

Some members have expressed that they haven’t been receiving emails from Ka when she sends them out. She will be sending one on Friday, November 19th after the meeting. If you do not receive this email, send a message to lambda.pi.eta-request@uwp.edu with the message line "subscribe".

Coffee Break

Gary Wood has confirmed that he will donate money to the coffee break on behalf of a campus wide honor society. We are still waiting for confirmation on whether or not the English department’s honor society will be donating any money or co-sponsoring with us.

Field Trip

So far 6 people have shown an interest in going to see Cabaret at the Skylight Opera. The dates that seemed to work best for everyone were December 4th and 5th. The shows on December 4th are sold out, so we will be going on December 5th at 7:30 p.m. The cheapest price is $18.00, but we can get better seats for $33.00. LPH will be donating $50 to help subsidize the cost of the show. If you are interested in going you need to let either Wendy or Ka know immediately. You also have to indicate what price you are willing to pay for tickets.

Treasures for Troops

LPH has decided to extend the Treasures for Troops project past November 30th and send the packages after Christmas. This way we have more time to collect goods and it will help so that mail doesn’t get backed up. This will allow troops to get packages from their families for Christmas. On the news it said that it would be better for people (other than family) to send stuff after the holidays. A date has not yet been picked for the project to end.
