Meeting Minutes

Members Present: Lisa Palo, Stephanie Gemino, Camilla Simon, Sharon Ceskowski

1. Visit from Emily Battisti, Interim Coordinator for “The Civic Honors Program”
            a) Civic Honors- allows you to network with people in the community.
                        i) Employment Opportunities
                       ii) Good for Communication majors in their Sophomore or Junior year
                        iii) The students need to have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher to join
                       iv) She is available to speak with in Tallent Hall-CCP (262-595-2018) for
                      any further questions.

2. On Monday, November 23rd
            a) Shalom Holiday House
                       i) Stephanie and I will be at the Shalom Holiday House to help package and distribute Thanksgiving dinners to low income families from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. If anyone is interested in going, please let one of us know. We plan on carpooling there also if anyone is not sure how to get there.

            b) There are other dates available also:
                       i) November 23rd, 24th, and 25th from 8:30-5pm in two hour shifts.
            c) Remember! This is a great way to get your community service cord, and also a
            great opportunity to help out in the community.

3. Next meeting
a) Our next meeting will be held Wednesday, December 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in CART 137.
i) We need to plan something fun for the end of the fall semester so if you have any ideas, please come to the meetings and bring your ideas with you!
