Chinatown Fieldtrip

This fieldtrip was a successful and students enjoyed themselves. There were five people from LPH that went on the trip.

Dinner with the faculty

Jamie has made the flyer and it will be distributed. The event will take place on November 11, 2006 at the Chancery Restaurant at the Radisson Hotel in Pleasant Prairie. The party room cost will be split between both LPH and PAC. Everyone that is coming is supposed to pick up their own tab for dinner. Dinner will begin at 6:00p.m. Our honored guest will be Lana Rakow, a former faculty member int he department. Please help to get the word out about this event. We are inviting alumni as well. Remember people who are invited to this event are Communication majors, minors, or those leaning towards this program.

Community Service

Sarah went to Racine’s YMCA, where she helped out with the haunted house. LaToya participated in Make a Difference Day; she went to Lincoln Village in Racine. If you have participated in some type of community service please make sure that you fill out the form that is on LPH’s website (under service) to receive credit for your hours.

Bulletin Board

Make sure to bring photos of yourself so that we can start to fill up our bulletin board that we have. We will also be taking pictures next meeting to go up on the board. If you can, please make the next meeting so that we can take your picture. Professor Leeds-Hurtwitz will be in charge of creating a header for the board.

Communication 303 Survey

Professor Castor’s is doing a survey project on crisis management at UWP. One of our members, Lorrie, is in that class and is asking that people take the survey. The whole purpose of the survey is to see what students/faculty/staff about responding to a crisis.
