11.3.03 MINUTES

I. BAKE SALE
The LPH Bake Sale was held Friday, October 31, in Union Square. We raised $167.45! This covers the cost of the red and white cords for service as well as some of the cost of the Alumni Event. Also, $100 will be donated to the Senior Seminar service project for Women's and Children's Horizons. Students who participated in the Bake Sale will be able to count these hours towards their 10 hours of service.

II. FIELD TRIP
The field trip to Chicago has been cancelled due to dwindling interest and scheduling conflicts among students.

III. SOCIAL EVENT
The Social/Alumni Event will take place on Friday, December 5, 2003 at the Radisson in Pleasant Prairie. There will most likely be a $2.00 fee for students. Stay tuned for more details.

VI. INTERNSHIP WORKSHOP
LPH will be hosting an Internship Workshop on Monday, November 10 at 12:00 p.m. in CART 133. A few students who have already completed an internship will be presenting their internship experiences to encourage students to complete a Communication Internship.

Workshop Highlights:
* Professor Theresa Castor will be presenting about the Communication Internship class itself.
* Kimberly Fosco will be presenting her experiences in the Public Relations department of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
* Dan Blaha will be talking about his internship at a talent agency in Chicago.
* More students will be speaking about their internship experiences as well.

This will be an extremely beneficial workshop for anyone who is considering completing an internship. Please join us!

V. EFOLIO WORKSHOP
Luke Andersen and Ray Swanson will be conducting an eFolio Workshop on December 15, 2003, at noon in CART 133. Please join us to learn more about how to create an eFolio. More details to follow about this event as well.

VI. NEXT MEETING
Our next meeting will be Monday, November 17, 2003 at noon in CART 133. However, please join us for the Internship Workshop on Monday, November 10, 2003 at noon in CART 133.
