MEETING MINUTES 2.18.04

I. Outreach for New Members
§ Kate did an outreach to new members to inform the dues deadline as well as the meeting time/location.

II. Renewal Fees and New Membership Fees
§ All are due by Friday, February 20, 2004 either to Treasurer (Kate) or advisor (Wendy).
§ A reminder, if this is your first year of being a member, no renewal fee is due until September 2004.

III. Workshop(s)
§ Member Salimah Rashad created a survey of questions to pass out to LPH as well as the Communication students to get an input on possible workshop ideas.
§ Kathryn (President) e-mailed Theresa Castor about the internship workshop, waiting on reply.
§ If any members have any ideas, please bring them to the next meeting, contact an officer, or our advisor, Wendy.

IV. Fundraiser(s)
§ Valentine's Day bake sale was cancelled due to late notice.
§ Easter Bake Sale in Main Place from 10am-2pm, Wednesday, April 7, 2004.
· If you want to volunteer to work at the table, or bring goodies, please contact an officer or Wendy.
· Note: if you buy/bake/bring something for the bake sale, you will be given one hour towards your service cord. Hours worked will also count towards the service cord.
§ Pie Throwing Contest
· Date/Location: TBA
· Looking for volunteers (After the meeting we found out several of the Comm faculty object to the project, and so the idea was dropped.)

V. Social(s)
§ Ice skating and/or Laser Tag
· LPH is planning to co-sponsor with PAC to get all of the Communication students to get together for a fun time.
· Chris will get information about group discounts, and time for Petit National Ice Center in Milwaukee.
· Kathryn will get information about group discounts, and time for the Gurnee Mill location with ice skating and laser tag.
§ Have ideas for a social, please let us know by e-mail, phone, or stopping in one of our meetings.
