PAC Alumni Event

Half a dozen speakers are appearing at the PAC alumni event to talk about their lives and job experiences after graduation. If any LPH members are interested in volunteering for this event, contact Karleen Vanderhoef, President of PAC. Everyone is absolutely encouraged to attend this fantastic event. It is an event that is greatly beneficial to all graduating seniors, but is open to all.

Student Celebration and LPH Initiation
May 7, 2006
1:00 to 3:00pm
Location - Union Square

Just a reminder to all graduating seniors and new and old members of LPH, that the Student Celebration and LPH initiation are fast approaching. This event is a celebration of all of you, so please attend and bring friends and family. Reminder to the seniors to complete and email the information form handed out in class. Email these forms to Jill Kroll, VP of LPH, as she is the Student Celebration event planner.

Need Feedback

In regards to LPH eligibility, Wendy is thinking of leaving it up to the students to ask if they are eligible or not. In the past, Wendy has received the necessary eligibility information from SOLAR and then mailed out invitations for the honor society. This year there have been problems with SOLAR providing the correct information in a timely fashion, which has led to problems for students. If it is left up to students to notice if they are eligible, and ask confirmation, it would cut out the need to wait for the computer center to provide information. Wendy would like your feedback or suggestions on the topic. Email her at leedshur@uwp.edu.

Service Cord

The service hour forms for LPH volunteering are due May 5. Remember your forms must include 10 hours for each year you are involved in LPH and must be signed off by a LPH officer.

Next Meeting:   April 12, 2005 at NOON in CA144. Note the change in rooms - we will now meet in the classroom rather than the faculty meeting room since that is in heavy demand for faculty committees at this point.
