Meeting Minutes

LPH Minutes for Wednesday, April 14, 2004

I. Social Event
Due to late cancellations, the social event has been cancelled. There were not enough people who would be attending in order to keep our group discount. The number attending dropped from about 20 to 8-10. We needed 20 people to keep the $12 rate.

II. Workshops
The eFolio Workshop will be on May 7th at 10:00am in CART 135. Wendy's Senior Seminar class will be presenting their portfolios. All students are encouraged to attend, especially if since you may have to create an electronic portfolio for your Senior Seminar class.

The Internship Workshop has been changed to Monday, May 3rd at 12:00pm. Theresa's internship class for this semester will be presenting the work they did in their internships. Anyone who is interested in doing an internship in the future is encouraged to attend.

III. Elections
The last meeting of the semester is scheduled for Wednesday, April 28th at 12:00pm in CART 133. During this meeting we will be holding officer elections for the Fall 2004 semester. This is a great opportunity for students and will be a great line to add to your resume. Anyone who is interested in running for an office (all positions are open) should attend this meeting. If for some reason you are unable to attend and wish to be nominated, please let Wendy or Kathryn know so that your name may be mentioned in the voting process.

IV. Spring Student Celebration
The Spring Student Celebration, "Reach for the Stars," is rapidly approaching. All new LPH members will be inducted by the current LPH officers, as well as a few returning officers from Fall 2003. This should be a great event for all Communication majors to attend.
