5.5.03 Minutes

I. MENTOR PROJECT
We discussed how the service project went this semester. Some people got in touch with their mentees and others did not. It was decided that this was a good project to continue in the fall. Discussion of what to do differently will take place early next semester.

II. STUDENT CELEBRATION
It was decided that tickets will be sold for next year's event, instead of paying at the door. There was an unequal number of people who gave an RSVP and the actual number of people who attended. Selling tickets will ensure that the correct amount of food is purchased to accommodate the attendees. Also, if anyone has pictures please feel free to give them to Wendy so they can be put on our LPH website. They will be displayed by Luke in the fall.

III. OFFICER ELECTIONS
All of the current officers are graduating seniors, so it was decided ahead of time to elect new officers at this meeting. Our Fall 2003 officers are: President - Ray Swanson, Vice President - Megan Gaca, Treasurer - Luke Andersen, and Secretary - Kathryn Seamans.

IV. NEXT MEETING
The next LPH meeting, which is also the first of the Fall 2003 semester, will be on Monday, September 8, 2003 at noon. The tentative schedule for next semester's meetings will be every other Monday at noon. The meeting room is yet to be determined; keep your eyes open for an e-mail with this information as the new semester approaches.
