Meeting Minutes

Elections:

The following people are continuing officers:

Kristina Turner—President
Laura Joosse—Secretary

New officers were elected:

Justin Krahn—Treasurer
Star Smith-Hayes—Vice President

Membership Fees:

The annual fee is $35 for new members or $15 for returning members. Please get the checks (made out to UWP) ASAP to either Wendy or Justin! The deadline is October 17.

We should all think about activities we are interested in participating in this year! Kristina mentioned we have tickets and could possibly attend a Jerry Springer show in Chicago sometime this fall.

There is also an opportunity to get shirts, etc. for LPH through the national office – see the link on our website if interested and let Wendy or Justin know so they can be ordered

Wendy suggested activities LPH members have done in the past. These include field trips to Madison, workshops related to job interests (resumes, interviewing, guest speakers, etc.), and service projects/volunteering.

There will be a PCAA event either the Friday in the 2nd or 3rd week in October or the 1st week in November. This will be a social networking event with alumni. If we are interested in actively participating in this we need to let Wendy know soon!

Next meeting:
Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at 5:00 pm in Comm 125.

Note: We will be alternating meeting times between Mondays at 12 and Tuesdays at 5 to hopefully accommodate different schedules!
