Meeting Minutes

1. LPH

a) Who we are

i) We are Lambda Pi Eta, the national Communication Honor Society. Our goal is to get the communication students together in a student-based organization. You are eligible to be inducted your Junior year of college if you meet the requirements set by the national office (listed on the membership page).

b) Dues are due 10/14/09

i) For continuing members, the fee is $15, and if you would like to recieve a gold cord for graduation, it is an extra $8.

ii) For new members, the fee is $35.

iii) Members can also recieve a red and white cord for community service. You must do 10 hours of service across each year you are a member. You must fill out a form that can be found on our LPH website by clicking "service".

2. Nominations/Elections

a) Whoever was present on 9/23 was able to vote. Camilla Simon was elected as President in spring. We unanimously voted in the new positions.

i) Vice President- Stephanie Gemino
ii) Secretary- Lisa Palo
iii) Treasurer- Sharon Ceskowski

3. Future Events

a) Brainstorm ideas on what events we would like to do as a group. Possible ideas are going to the Milwaukee film festival, and Madison. We are also likely to do a service project. If you have any suggestions, please let us know!

4. Meeting Time

a) We decided on Wednesdays at 11:00. Our meetings will take place every few weeks in the same classroom, CART 137. Our next meeting will be held Wednesday, October 7th at 11:00 a.m. Please come and bring your ideas with you to make this a successful year for LPH!
