Brandon Ghislain considers UW-Parkside a home not so far away from home.
"Family is enormously important to me," Brandon says. "UW-Parkside was close enough that, even juggling my studies and my job, I was still able to keep in touch with the people I love."
He describes the campus as "a healthy, refreshing dose of diversity."
"Sure, the math and the physics were great: who doesn't love Legendre Polynomials?" he jokes. "But when you get right down to it, this world, this life, is all about people. Learning to get along with and work alongside a wide a variety of people is a far more important lesson worth learning."
With a passion for his major, Brandon urges those considering UW-Parkside to explore a major in either physics or math. As he puts it, "The world needs more people who are not afraid of numbers!"
