"Think about what you want in life; not only what you want to study but other goals you want to accomplish. UW-Parkside can help you get there."
UW-Parkside's great sense of community attracted Joseph Young. "The university's size allows students to engage in more than just their classes," Joseph says. "You, as a student, have the ability to make a huge change and in the process learn a lot about yourself."
The variety of people he has met at UW-Parkside has given him a window on the world and a new view of himself.
"I have met people from all over the world," Joseph says. "I have met great professors who are willing to help their students and I have met great staff that have helped develop me into the student leader I am today."
Joseph jumped into extracurricular activities-the Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, the Sport & Fitness Management Club, intramural soccer-and these, too, contributed to his growth as a student and as a person. "All you need to do is get involved," he says, "and take charge of your future."
