Youth Options

Welcome to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside's Youth Options Program. This page has been designed to provide Wisconsin High School students information regarding the state's program to provide post-secondary credit to students while still in high school.

Please keep the following information in mind:

  1. This process starts with your district.
    • It is important that you meet with your school counselor in order to determine your district's process for qualifying for Youth Options, since every district is different.
  2. Remember your deadlines.
    • Your paperwork is due to your district no later than March 1st (for fall enrollment) or October 1st (for spring enrollment).
    • You must present this paperwork every semester you plan to participate in the program.
  3. Follow through.

In ADDITION

2. UW-Parkside will also determine whether a student meets their criteria for participating in the program at the University. Typically students will have met the following requirements:

Minimum qualifications for the Youth Options Program require that students must:

  1. Be in their junior or senior year of high school.
  2. Rank in the upper 25% of their high school class.
  3. Have approval from their high school.
  4. Submit all appropriate and official applications and documentation as approved by their high school.

Once we have reviewed for at least the qualifications, we will mail students information regarding their status in participating in UW-Parkside's Youth Options Program.
