UW-Parkside Experience Day: Communication, Criminal Justice, Social & Behav
More targeted than an open house, each of UW-Parkside’s four Experience Days focuses on specific majors giving prospective students the opportunity to question current students and meet with professors from featured programs. Campus tours are available. UW-Parkside Experience Days begin Saturday, Oct. 24, with a focus on business management including accounting, finance, human resources, and marketing. Students also can explore majors in computer science, management information systems, economics, and sport and fitness management. Two weeks later, the fine arts and humanities are featured. Saturday, Nov. 7, students can examine UW-Parkside's majors in studio and digital art including animation, graphic design, and illustration, music, theatre, and the humanities. The Saturday, Nov. 14, Experience Day covers UW-Parkside's popular natural, physical, and health-related science majors. Participants can learn more about applied health and pre-health programs (UW-Parkside has a 90 percent placement rate for students applying to post-graduate health-related programs). The Nov. 14 Experience Day also features the majors biological science, chemistry, geography, geosciences, molecular biology and bioinformatics, nursing, physics, sport and fitness management, and sustainable management. Experience Days conclude Saturday, Nov. 21, with the focus on communication and the social and behavioral sciences. Those who attend can examine majors and programs in communication, criminal justice, English, ethnic studies, geography, history, interdisciplinary studies, international studies, liberal arts, modern languages, philosophy, political science, psychology, teacher education, sociology/anthropology, and women's studies. Each Experience Day is free and runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each is held in the beautiful new UW-Parkside Student Center. On-site admission is available.
