| E.H. Mathis Gallery | ||
| “Life on Lake Michigan: Photographs from the Early 1900s” features large format pictures printed from digital scans of antique plate glass negatives held in the UW-Parkside Archives. Images include the schooner “Blackhawk” under full sail in Kenosha Harbor circa 1900; the "Grisham" at harbor in Milwaukee Sept. 5, 1897; the Canadian yacht “Invader” racing against the “Vencedor “ (the “Vencedor “ is featured in another photo shown in this exhibition) Aug. 12, 1901; and others. Dry plate glass negatives, like the one on display, date to the late 1800s and early 1900s. The digital photographs shown in this exhibition were printed on campus during spring semester. | ||

| 10:00 AM | 4:00 PM | Art Exhibition: 23rd Parkside National Small Print Exhibition |
| Fine Arts Gallery | ||
| After a three-year break, the Parkside National Small Print Exhibition is back! More than 100 prints from locally and nationally known artists are shown with copies of many available for purchase. This year’s exhibition gives print enthusiasts a different view—held as it is in the nearly 2,000-square-foot Fine Arts Gallery as opposed to the former, smaller UW-Parkside Arts Gallery—and more time to enjoy the prints with the exhibition running through July. Local artists include Dennis Bayuzick and Lisa Bigalke of Kenosha and Richard Berns of Racine. All but one of the pieces in this year’s exhibition are available for purchase. The university keeps 20% of the sale price for scholarships and programing for students. | ||
