In Fall 2003, LPH decided to do service projects, and honor students who complete at least 10 hours over the course of a year (summer hours can be counted toward the prior or next year). There is a form to use in order to document service hours. Hours spent on projects required for classes can count only if they are in addition to the time required by that professor for that course. A wide range of service projects are eligible. However, it is expected that all projects will have some connection to either this club, a member of this club, or the university. If in doubt, check in with one of the officers. Students completing the 10 hour minimum each year they are members of LPH will be given a red and white cord to wear at graduation, in addition to the gold cord all members are given. Unlike the gold cords, the club will pay for the red and white cords. Students joining LPH in their final semester will only have one semester to complete ten hours.
