Why did you join Gamma Alpha Omega? When I started college at UWP, we didn't have any sororities that represented Latinas. So when a group of friends and I researched and found GAO, there was no doubt in my mind that GAO was for me. GAO had what I was looking for in an organization: community service, honesty, and most important the bond of sisterhood. I look back at the seed that Tanya Skiba and I planted at UW-Parkside and I now see that it has bloomed with beautiful apples and that the roots have grown all over Wisconsin and Illinois. Thanks to the ones that keep watering it and taking care of what once was a seed and now a family tree. What has Gamma Alpha Omega done for you? Gamma Alpha Omega has reopened doors that i thought were closed such as knowing that if I need help and I fall flat on my face that my sisters will always stand behind me and help me right back up . It has also givin me a sense of pride for an organization that has brought so much to the surrounding communities. Thanks to the wonderful sisters that have helped keep the light burning to this day and those days to come. Goals:
My goals in life as of right now are to focus on my 2 beautiful children
and knowing that whatever walls are set before me I will overcome with
the help of God, family and my sisters . Interests & Hobbies: Hobbies that I have are playing sports thanks to the gals who have invited me to join city leagues and coaching middle school girls at the San Juan Diego Middle School thanks to my sister Jessica (Alma). Fondest
GAO Memory? Quote: Any woman can wear the letters but it takes the heart ,motivation, and dedication to earn them . God bless all and everyone . |
