National

Mission

The purpose of this Brotherhood, a service/social fraternity dedicated to the needs and concerns of the Hispanic community shall be to promote and maintain the traditional values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership. This Brotherhood was founded in order to provide, to any man, a diverse fraternal experience which coincides with a higher education.

 

Alpha Chapter Founding Date & History:

On November 25, 1987 at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, seven young men, one faculty advisor, one legal advisor and one graduate advisor were granted the first charter. The first Prospective Member class began in January 1988 with 12 Prospective Members.

National Motto

The national public motto shall be “Crescit Eundo” - It grows as it goes

 

National Slogan

Other recognized motto shall be “One Culture Any Race”

 

Colors

Official colors: Scarlet and silver

Supporting colors: Black

 

Flag

Although each chapter shall have the right to design their own banners, the official flag of the Fraternity shall be a scarlet flag of rectangular shape, bearing a silver chevron (with its left point on the bottom left edge of the flag, its top point positioned on the top middle of the flag, and its

right point on the bottom right edge of the flag). Upon the fields of scarlet there shall be five point star (under the arches of the chevron in the middle of the flag), and the pair of crossed swords (to the right of the chevron). The letters shall be placed at the middle bottom of the flag

in silver.

 

Flower

The official flower shall be the Silver Rose.

 

Active Badges

The active badge shall be the coat of arms with the word alumnus added once the active member becomes an alumnus.

 

Prospective Member Badges

The Prospective Member pin shall be a shield of scarlet bearing a silver chevron.
