Motion to seat Senator Dittman entered by Hallmon, 2nd by Jensen. Ayes, Nays, and Abstentions. No objections or abstentions. Vote unanimous. To the decision of the Chair, motion carries.

III. Approval of the Agenda

IV. Approval of the Minutes

Motion approve the minutes entered by Jensen, 2nd by Ferguson. Ayes, Nays, and Abstentions. One abstention. To the decision of the Chair, motion carries. Minutes Approved.

V. Guest Speaker – David Beth – Current & Candidate for Kenosha County Sheriff

            Has spent 4 years in office. Has done much to improve the previous administrations’ problems. Improved officer treatment. Put out extra cars. Have the 3rd largest department/ jail in Wisconsin. Have the 5th largest policy agency in Wisconsin. Have 309 employees, with 107 of them sworn. Brought federal inmates in for more income. Started snowmobile patrolling. Canine unit contains 2 dogs per truck. Made Country Thunder safer.

            The Presidents’ Council meets the 1st Wednesday of the month. Next meeting will be 11/15. Will be putting together 1 unified event – Carnival. This will be for every organization. April 12th the afternoon. Also, signed the last resolution and sent to SUFAC.

IX. Director Reports

A.     Chief of Staff – Adam Schemm

-         If interested in student ambassador, sign sheet.

B.     Academic and Student Affairs Director – Rebecca McBurney

-         Defer Time.

C.     SUFAC Director – Louie Kirleis

-         Had one proposal from BSU – granted travel.

-         Presented Guidelines.

D.     Legislative Affairs Director – Zara Dittman

-         Will be doing the window painting after the meeting as well as chalking the sidewalks for voting.

E.      Diversity Issues Director – Shannon Holbert

-         11/11 – buy red poppies for the Veterans.

-         Will co-sponsor Rainbow alliance Drag Show.

F.      Women’s Issues Director – Emily Junion

-         Stacie Olsen – abandoned at birth.

-         Women’s Leadership Conference in 2 weeks.

-         11/29 is the next Professional Women’s Night.

G.     Public Relations Director – Joshua Santiago

-         Defer Time.

H.     Constitution Director – Michael Scerpella

-         Not Present.

I.        Advisor – Dr. Stephen McLaughlin

-         SAC is a polling place this year.

-         Parking will be displaced.
