V. Guest Speaker Matthew Jensen, Director of Admissions
He is working on the Student Recruitment Program. Last year was a pilot. Wants to send Parkside students back to their high schools to answer questions about UW-Parkside. Own transportation would be used and reimbursement for transportation is included.
VI. Guest Speaker Fair Wisconsin
There are two parts to the proposed amendment. The first part states the marriage is between a man and a woman which is already in the Constitution. The second part would ban the recognition of married-like couples such as a civil union. This would affect many elderly with insurance benefits.

This is just an announcement made to all of you as adults if someone has a different belief system than you please do not criticize them for it. If you present a resolution, please have three copies ready for yourself, for the permanent record, and one to get passed on to the appropriate people.

Kayte Campbell is appointed to Parliamentarian. The passed resolution has been vetoed. We could instead pass a resolution about getting rid of the plus and minus system.

Each Senator will get a sample of the newsletter in their mailbox, please look over and revise. Registration for the Womens Leadership Conference is now closed. Please yield your rights as a Senator to those who wish to speak who are not senators.
