Area of Expertise: Professor Fossum has expertise in distributed systems, software engineering, and system administration. He actively teaches courses in these areas.

Professional Activities: Professor Fossum is currently engaged in a funded project to develop curricular materials for event-driven programming. He is also involved in robotics in education. He has offered in-house workshops for area businesses and has engaged in other professional consulting activities.
