Donald Gillespie graduated from Carthage College with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration in 2004. In the fall of 2004, Don enrolled at Loyola University- Chicago, where he earned an Executive MBA in 2006.
Mr. Gillespie has a solid background in Automotive Manufacturing management. He started working as a production supervisor with American Motors in 1983. Don was transferred to the Jeep facility in Toledo, Ohio, where he worked as a production supervisor in Quality Control, Paint and Trim departments. Later, Don worked in Power-train Machining and Assembly in Detroit, Michigan with Daimler Chrysler. He also worked for Harley Davidson Motor Company and Oshkosh Truck Corporation.
Don's hands-on experience in Production and Operations Management, in addition to training and teaching new employees, allows him to bring the best of what he has learned in manufacturing to the classroom. His passion for continuous improvement has helped him effectively reach both traditional students and Adult Learners.
Previously as an Associate Lecturer at UW Parkside, Don taught Business Statistics (QM210). He has also taught Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and Statistics for Business and Economics at Carthage College in Kenosha.
