Chi-Wing (Robert) Fok, Ph.D.

I usually start my day by coming to the University of Wisconsin Parkside at around 8:30 a.m. If I have class to teach that day, I usually begin by preparing my lecture notes. If I don’t have class to teach, then I typically spend time grading and advising. I am usually here every day. I chose this profession by deciding to get my Ph.D. and then I was able to develop my career path more. I feel the best way to connect with students is to have them visit me during my office hours. This way they feel more at ease and are more open.  I believe I’m better able to answer their questions outside of the classroom setting. My priority for the next few years is to be able to send my daughter to college because she is going to be a senior in high school next year.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy swimming and ironing while watching television. In the past I played soccer. I am not really a fan of professional football, but I do enjoy watching the University of Alabama team. I also like to travel and someday would like to go to Japan or Korea.
