Voss, West honored with Mil. Brewers scholarships

University of Wisconsin-Parkside students Adam Voss and Sierra West were among 15 Wisconsin college students receiving scholarships through the Milwaukee Brewers and several of the team's players. The scholarship recipients were celebrated during the team's recent home stand.    

Voss, a Fitness Management major from Oak Creek, received a Michael J. Bonan Scholarship. West, who is from New Berlin and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree, received a player scholarship provided by several Brewers' stars including Ryan Braun, Yovani Gallardo, and Carlos Gomez.

The students and their families were honored on the field Friday, June 29, in a ceremony held prior to Milwaukee's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. An article on the scholarships is available online.
