Hours of Operation and Rates

The REC offers public rentals from June 2, 2013 to September 1, 2013:

Environmental Education Program Series
Root River Voyagers

Thursdays, 3:00-5:00pm
Youth ages 7-12

Fees

Fees are subject to change without notification.  Please use this as guideline as you plan for a program or event.

Individual Paddling
Canoes/Tandem Kayaks                $15/hr.  [1 hr minimum]                     
                                                          
Single Kayaks                                $10/hr.  [1 hr minimum]                     

Summer Passes available (One pass allows you to paddle all summer long!)

$40/individual

$75/family of 4

Group Paddling
Individuals wishing to schedule a group paddle may do so by appointment only. Appointments must be made one week in advance to allow for appropriate equipment and adequate staffing. 

Total paddling capacity is 25 individuals with room for three instructor/guides.

$75.00 per hour with unlimited use of boating vehicles (2 hour minimum)

$25.00 per hour for building usage (2 hour minimum)

This includes sizing equipment, instruction and time on the river. 

School Program
One adult should accompany every 15 students. Adults are expected to be active and attentive supervisors.

Public Programs
Public program fees are determined by the group or individual presenting the program. Please contact the REC coordinator for more details.
