"As an instructor in visual arts, I'm dedicated to the development and actualization of the creative potential of students. When teaching students to use design language, I use practical instructions in design that possess real world applicability. Meaning-making is always the focus in my classroom over the principles of art and design. These approaches empower students to better understand visual expression in diverse forms and realize the vast potential of art beyond mere techniques and media. It's my responsibility to guide students as they find their own method of experimental investigation. I value all students' experiences during their creative process, both failures and successes. My goal as a teacher is to guide students in their experience of creating art and design."
