A hundred fine art prints chosen from a thousand submitted to this national competition. Now in its twenty-third year, Parkside’s small print exhibition is one of the longest running and important printmaking exhibitions in the country.

Printed from antique glass plate negatives from the UW-Parkside Archives featuring Kenosha, Racine and surrounding areas, these photographs feature sailing and the lakeshore under snow.

“Terrence Campagna: Field Trip”

Michigan-based artist Terrence Campagna collects discarded paper, fast food containers, and plastic wrappers during his “field trips”–short walks or multi-day treks–across the landscape of the Midwest. Bringing his finds back to the studio he pieces them together into beautifully patterned constructions.
“Phil Schultz: End of Forever”

Living in poverty, Racine artist Phil Schultz often uses materials scavenged from recycling bins and trashcans. Over the past thirty years Schultz has produced a vast body of work including bronze cast and welded steel sculptures and expressive abstract paintings. Making a habit of writing every day, Schultz has authored nearly thirty thousand sonnets also represented in the exhibition.

Nineteenth and twentieth-century landscape paintings ranging in styles from naturalist to abstract are a recent gift from Jean F. Lanners to the Luxembourg American Cultural Society, headquartered in Belgium, Wisconsin.
“Outsider Art from Little City Foundation”

Features paintings and drawings by artists with disabilities created through the Little City Foundation for the Arts. The exhibition includes the premier of “Share My Kingdom,” a documentary film about Harold Jeffries, Wayne Mazurek and Luke Tauber, three Little City Foundation artists.
