What is Pre-Health?

At UW-Parkside, the Pre-health program consists of several tracts that are designed to prepare students prepare students for entry into medically-related professional programs.  The recommended courses serve a few functions beside obtaining an undergraduate degree from the Biology department at UW-Parkside.  First, we believe that these courses will give students the necessary background to excel in a variety of professional programs.  Second, success in these courses will provide the student with the appropriate academic background to perform well on standardized tests that most professional programs require for admission into their programs.  Finally, many of the recommended courses are prerequisites for admission into various professional programs.
