Some of the travel benefits of the new corporate card program with U.S. Bank Visa Card include:
Frequent-Flyer Accounts
The UW System Travel Office has enrolled the UW System into corporate frequent-flyer accounts with American Airlines and Midwest Airlines, Northwest Airlines and United Airlines. Under these programs, the UW System earns points, which, after a qualifying threshold is reached, can be redeemed for free tickets and other benefits. This has potential to help the UW and Parkside reduce its travel costs.
In order for the UW to earn the points, employees have to be enrolled in respective airlines' frequent-flyer programs, and both the employee's frequent-flyer number and the corporate frequent-flyer number have to be provided to the airline when booking the flight. Employees continue to have the associated frequent-flyer miles credited to their own accounts.
The travel agencies mentioned above were sent the code numbers for the following airlines: AMERICAN/AMERICAN EAGLE/TWA (C527711), MIDWEST (B0517), NORTHWEST (ESQYP) and UNITED (795FP). For more information click here: http://www.uwsa.edu/fadmin/flyer.htm
If you are enrolled in the frequent-flyer accounts of United Airlines or American Airlines, and use the above travel agencies, you only need to give them your frequent-flyer account number when booking a trip since they already have UW System corporate account numbers.
