If vehicles are unavailable from our contract vendors, the employee must use his/her best judgment in renting an appropriate vehicle from a different vendor. If collision (CDW), theft insurance (LDW) and liability protection is not provided, then the employee must purchase this insurance. Reimbursement will be provided for this insurance only. Note: Employees who charge their rental to their UW-issued US Bank Travel Card have primary collision/theft insurance, and should NOT purchase the insurance.
Under the new contract, there are no rate increases under the National contract, and minor increases under the Enterprise contract. However, one-way city pair rates under the Enterprise contract increased considerably.
Other important changes include:
- Elimination of use for leisure (personal) rentals under the Enterprise contract
- Inclusion of an important System policy message involving rentals of 15-passenger vans.
