Travel Information

Before renting a vehicle on a state contract refer to the Driver Authorization Program for important information.

The following are the rates and provisions of each of the new contracts:

The State of Wisconsin has entered into a cooperative purchasing agreement with the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA, lead by the State of Oregon) for vehicle rental services.  The new contract will be available on Vendornet.

With the new contract, you can choose to use Enterprise, National or Hertz.  There is no longer a distinction for in-state, out-of-state or international travel as all vendors have equal shares of the nationwide contract. 

The Big Ten contract with National remains in effect for any rental that does not fit UW or DOA Fleet policies, including rentals that will have more than incidental personal mileage and/or where there is an accompanying non-employee (spouse, family, etc.) who is not traveling on UW business. You would use Contract #5766241 when making your reservations.

As of this writing, the new contract contains no policy, rates or contractual provisions for 15 passenger vans.  Until DOA communicates future policy regarding the rental or lease of 15 passenger vans, all requests for information on these rentals should be directed to your campus Risk Management Office.
