Dr. Matthew L. Wagner is the director of the UW-Parkside Small Business Development Center and Center for Advanced Technology & Innovation (CATI). He is responsible for managing Parkside's initiatives in business counseling, training, along with CATI's unique technology transfer model.

Matt manages more than 300 patented technologies from global companies such as Kraft Foods, Boeing, ISP, and S.C. Johnson, resulting in several business launches, including Yokit and Benelact. As a result of this success, UW-Parkside and CATI were named a 2007 International Economic Development Council's award winner for Technology-Based Economic Development.

Dr. Wagner is currently leading CATI's efforts to expand its model into Delaware, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan in partnership with the United States Economic Development Administration. Matt recently received his Ph.D. in urban economic development from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
