Career Connection gives UW-P students job insights
UW-Parkside students to make Career Connection March 2
University of Wisconsin-Parkside students can learn first-hand what skills and abilities some of the region's best employers want and what these companies can offer in return during Career Connection Thursday, March 2. Sponsored by the university's School of Business and Technology and coordinated by the M.I.S. and Computer Science student clubs, Career Connection brings representatives from 10 companies to Union Square from 4 to 6 p.m.
Students are welcome to visit representatives from companies including Abbott, Educators Credit Union, JohnsonDiversey, Platinum, Prudential, SC Johnson, Snap-on, Inc., TwinDisc, and Walgreens. Those in attendance will learn what these companies do and the skill set they expect in prospective employees.
Organizers said Career Connection is geared towards business students, especially those in MIS and CS degree programs, but all UW-Parkside students are encouraged to attend. Organizers called this, "a great way for students to start networking with local companies."
