UW-Parkside Modine MBA graduates honor Sounderpandian
University of Wisconsin-Parkside graduates at Modine Manufacturing recently honored the late Professor Jayavel Sounderpandian with a contribution to the university's business program. The Modine employees, all of whom are currently enrolled or have graduated from UW-Parkside's Master of Business Administration program, turned their sorrow at the recent death of Professor Sounderpandian into positive action.All of us are very fond of this special professor and remorseful of his passing, said Modine Regional Sales Manager Tom Savas. We truly learned something from him, respected his teaching skills, and admired him as a person.
The Modine group included Amy Agallar, Michael Eklund, Lawrence Gabbey, Matthew Gates, Charles Goodremote, Timothy Halverson, John Kis, Michael Kis, Thomas Lefeber, Bob Mausing, Carolyn McClaren, Steven Memory, Scott Miller, Sabha Museteif, Mark Orlovsky, Michael Peske, Timothy Rintelman, and Michael Schires along with Savas. With 100 percent participation, the group raised $475. And with the support of Modines Chief Human Resource Officer Greg Troy and the companys Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development Dan Sager, Modine added $525, allowing them to present a check for $1,000 to the UW-Parkside Benevolent Foundation in Jays honor. The presentation was made to UW-Parkside School of Business and Technology Dean Fred Ebeid at Modines Racine headquarters Friday, May 4.
As a group with a common goal, Savas concluded, we are thankful and encouraged to be able to express our fondness and show our respect for Jay with this donation.
The donation will help the university provide scholarships for students.
