Want to be entrepreneurial? UWP show can help.

UW-Parkside hosts Extreme Entrepreneur Tour April 8

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside welcomes The Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour, the first-ever collegiate entrepreneur tour, to campus Tuesday, April 8. Students and community members are invited to take part in the day’s events beginning at 11 a.m. in Main Place.

The American entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well, and it's ready to take area young people by storm! Founded by award-winning 20-somethings Michael Simmons and Sheena Lindahl of Extreme Entrepreneurship Education, the tour features many of America’s top young entrepreneurs, people who have made, earned, and sold companies for millions; people who have made a huge impact before the age of 30. The tour's vision is for all of America’s college students to graduate with an entrepreneurial mindset.

The Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour provides inspiration and practical advice. Both emerging entrepreneurs and students of all disciplines are invited to attend and learn how they can apply the entrepreneurial mindset to their lives regardless of their career choices.

The Tour is presented by VenturePort.org and sponsored by Inc. Magazine. The programming is sponsored locally by the UW-ParksideCenter for Community Partnerships and the university's School of Business and Technology, CarthageCollege, GatewayTechnicalCollege, and the Racine County Economic Development Corporation.

This event is free and open to the public. To participate in all Tour activities and to be eligible for prizes, register at www.extremetour.org on the web. For more information, call Mark Marlaire at 262-595-2755 or access marlaire@uwp.edu via email.
