The Finance concentration is designed for business students who wish to pursue a career involving money and capital markets, investments or financial management. The finance specific courses provide students with a solid knowledge base and the strong quantitative skills necessary for a successful career in the finance profession.
What is Finance?
Finance is the study of how to create and maintain wealth for both you and
others. In the financial world, a focus is placed upon the ability to administer
and manage money, as well as understanding the logic behind the many calculations
needed. This requires that the student has learned precise skills in order
to be successful; and these skills are continually emphasized through both
course material and internships/externships taught by our outstanding faculty.

Academic
Requirements of Finance Concentration
The concentration consists of 15 credits beyond the business fundamental and
core courses required by all business majors.
Accreditation
The UW-Parkside College of Business, Economics, and Computing is an AACSB (The Association
to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accredited business school as well
as the only AACSB International accredited business program based in Kenosha,
Racine, and Lake (IL) counties.
