The Graduate Business Student and Alumni Association held their first official networking event and fundraiser on Saturday, November 15th, in the Galbraith room at the University. The event brought in 50 attendees including current MBA students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Professor Michael T. Manion and Dean Fred J. Ebeid welcomed the guests and enlightened the group on the value that the organization will bring to the MBA program and the University.
Kyle Gomon, owner of Mason Creek Winery, did a marvelous job hosting the wine tasting and guiding the discussion on the different types of wine. Everyone enjoyed all five varieties of wine while browsing and bidding on the silent auction items. As many as 17 local businesses and private sponsors made donations to the GBSAA silent auction containing as many as 20 auction items! A special thanks goes out to all members, guest, and sponsors for making our first event and fundraiser a tremendous success.
The GBSAA looks forward to hosting future events to bring the MBA program, the University, and Community together to support and drive educational excellence!
