The General Business concentration curriculum is designed to develop and facilitate business skills through exposure to accounting, finance, marketing, personnel, organizational behavior, management information systems, and production. The general business courses provide students with a solid knowledge base and the strong quantitative skills necessary for a successful career in the business profession.
What is General Business?
General Business is an overall understanding and knowledge of the complete
business world, from finance to marketing and everything in between. This
requires that the student has learned precise skills in order to be successful;
and these skills are continually emphasized through both course material
and internships/externships taught by our outstanding faculty.

Academic Requirements of General Business Concentration
The concentration consists of 15 credits beyond the business fundamental and
core courses required by all business majors.
Accreditation
The UW-Parkside College of Business, Economics, and Computing is an AACSB (The Association
to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accredited business school as well
as the only AACSB International accredited business program based in Kenosha,
Racine, and Lake (IL) counties.
