Concentration in Marketing

The Marketing concentration is designed for business students who wish to pursue a career in advertising, promotions, marketing, sales or public relations. The marketing specific courses provide students with a solid knowledge base and the strong quantitative skills necessary for a successful career in the marketing profession.

What is Marketing?
Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational objectives.  This requires that the student has learned precise skills in order to be successful; and these skills are continually emphasized through both course material and internships/externships taught by our outstanding faculty.

The dynamic field of marketing provides students with various job opportunities within the field.

Academic Requirements of Marketing Concentration
The concentration consists of 15 credits beyond the business fundamental and core courses required by all business majors.

Accreditation
The UW-Parkside College of Business, Economics, and Computing is an AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accredited business school as well as the only AACSB International accredited business program based in Kenosha, Racine, and Lake (IL) counties.
