Digital Media
Audio Visual Services will transfer digital files in limited amounts to external storage media at no cost to UW Parkside Faculty, Staff, and Students. The user is responsible for providing storage media. All media must be formatted for the platform they intend to use. Fees are charged for large requests.
Acceptable Media for Digital Transfers:
- CD -R
- DVD -R
- USB Flash Drive
- External Hard Drive
- Storage media is also available for purchase at the Campus Bookstore.
When requesting a digital transfer, the following information must be provided:
- Platform Type: Mac or PC
- Video Files:
Standard DVD: Playable on a regular DVD player. File cannot be edited.
Data DVD: Playable on a computer only. File can be edited.
Data CD: Playable on a computer only. File can be edited.
VCD: Playable on most DVD players. File cannot be edited.
Streaming File: Formatted for streaming server upload. File can be edited.

Audio CD: Playable on both computer and CD player. File can be edited.
Digital Transfer Requests
- Projects are processed on a first come first served basis
- Please allow for a 24-48 hour turn around
- Walk in requests for on the spot transfers will not be honored.
