Chancellor's Budget Update
Thank you for visiting the Budget Update webpage. Its purpose is to keep our campus and constituencies informed of the state budget situation and how UW-Parkside is responding to the challenges it presents.
Like all state agencies, during these difficult economic times, UW-Parkside must pay its fair share of the deficit and determine how best to cope with reduced state resources. The cuts will be significant, and the repercussions felt across the campus.
As we make plans on how to deal with the challenges, it is important to keep the entire campus community abreast of the information we have learned. It has been and will remain the goal to be transparent along the way. The communications and conversations with colleagues will help us manage the budget challenge as best we can.
Indeed, we have a serious challenge ahead. Examining all areas to determine how best to address the reductions is essential. The budget reduction task force is working diligently to develop recommendations and determine priorities that align with the long-term goals and objectives of our campus strategic plan.
