Fall 2010 goals:
Highlighted Goals for Fall 2010:
1.Create a campus climate in which individuals are respectful, aware, and appreciative of inclusiveness and diversity.
Reduce hostile, offensive, and intimidating conduct experience by classified staff, and increase career opportunity for classified staff. A bullying workshop was held and a follow up is scheduled to occur during the spring/fall 2011 semesters.
Create pilot Diversity Circles for members of the classified staff along with supervisors of classified staff, focusing on privilege. A pilot group was held for eight weeks (fall 2010) which reinforced the climate survey results and improved understanding for those who participated and action plan was created.
2. Hire a Senior Diversity Officer. The Search and Screen committee has met , revised the position description and is working on recruitment of position (ads, etc.) with the assistance of HR.
3. Revisit the Equity Scorecard data for the campus. Data has been gathered from the Institutional Researcher; a team will be identified from fall convocation to review prior scorecard implementations and prioritize new goals.
