The Power of Mentoring Relationships for Increased Youth Resiliency," 4:00-6:00PM, January 26 at the UW-Parkside Tallent Hall Orchard Room, Presenter: Dr. Jeff Wilkins In this training for mentors, Washington Park High School Counselor Dr. Jeff Wilkins will focus on the practical implications of his research regarding supportive communication between mentors and mentees. Along with a discussion regarding overcoming roadblocks to successful mentoring relationships, participants will reflect upon and describe factors contributing to mentoring success. Through a highly interactive session, mentors will also learn about how their support can lead to increased youth resiliency. This training is free and open to the public thanks to the sponsorship of the United Way of Kenosha County and the Racine County Workforce Development Center. Snacks will be provided.
