Paulette Kissee earned her undergraduate degree, a double major
accomplished with honors in social work and psychology, at Carthage College
and completed the Gerontology Certificate Program at the University of
Wisconsin Parkside and a Certificate Program in Training from the University
of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She is a Wisconsin certified social worker and
gerontologist who has worked in the field of aging for more than twenty years.
Paulette provided medical social work services in a 110-bed dementia-care
nursing facility for ten years and has been with the Southeastern Wisconsin
Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association for ten years. For the first two years of
her tenure with the Chapter, Paulette worked as the education programs
director, and then in November 2000 she accepted a position to represent the
Chapter in her home area as community outreach coordinator in Racine and
Kenosha Counties. The regionalization of the Alzheimer’s Association
programs and services continued to grow and in September 2005 Paulette was
promoted to regional services manager, supervising five regional services
coordinators working throughout an eleven county service area, while
continuing to provide Alzheimer’s Association services in Kenosha and Racine
Counties and to participate in planning the local Memory Walk®.
In addition to her work, Paulette’s passions are reading, dancing, camping,
hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
