Dawn serves as the Nonprofit Technical Assistance Coordinator, a position funded by a federal grant designed to provide faith-based and community organizations in Kenosha and Racine counties with assistance in building organizational capacity.
Dawn earned her liberal arts B.A. from Carthage College. She began her career helping to operate a family-owned business. Her work history includes career coaching at the Racine County Workforce Development Center where she became interested in economic development and later served as the first executive director of Young Professionals of Racine, an organization that helped pioneer the young professional movement.
With the exception of a few short months living near Cleveland, Ohio, Dawn is a life-long resident of Kenosha County where she and her husband have raised their daughter and son.
