Paula is the Nonprofit Training Coordinator at the Center for Community Partnerships specifically working with the CAN (Capacity-Building for Nonprofits) program. The CAN program is funded by a Federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services with the purpose of assisting small and emerging faith and community-based organizations to enhance capacity and infrastructure.
Paula earned her B.A. from Alverno College with a major in sociology and a Master’s degree in Social Welfare Administration from UW-Milwaukee. She began her career in social work as a probation officer at the Milwaukee County Children’s Court Center. Her career also includes social work at an alternative high school and project management of another Federal grant program, also from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Most of her career was spent at the Planning Council for Health and Human Services, Inc. There she conducted planning and research in various areas of human services, with a particular expertise in child abuse and neglect prevention.
Paula is a life-long resident of Milwaukee County, currently living in the suburb of Greenfield. She is the proud mom of one son, Jason, a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University.
