UW-P Student Showcase Goals
While individual departments often provide venues for students to make their academic work public, the UW-Parkside Student Showcase will allow for faculty and students from all corners of the university to learn more about the range of activities that take place in and out of our classrooms. We want to provide a venue for students to share and obtain feedback regarding all types of work: research projects, outstanding papers, community-based learning projects, internships, artistic performances, art exhibits, international experiences, etc.
The organizing committee has adopted the following five goals for our 4th annual UW-Parkside Student Showcase:
- Provide UW-P students with an avenue to make their academic work available to their peers and to the public, and obtain external feedback on their efforts.
- Provide UW-P faculty and staff with an opportunity to learn about scholarly contributions being made by other members of the university community.
- Provide university partners with an opportunity to observe how their contributions have provided opportunities for student learning, and provide an avenue to celebrate/recognize the contributions made by these partners.
- Provide the public with an opportunity to learn how the university community contributes to the social, intellectual, and/or economic well-being of the communities UW-P impact.
- Provide an introduction to the wide range of high quality scholarly endeavors for potential UW-P students and their families.
