Program Description
The World Wide Web Publishing Certificate is a cooperative program between UW-Parkside's art and computer science departments. Two courses in art provide graphic design skills and instill aesthetic concepts, and two computer science courses provide a basic introduction to computer productivity, graphic, and web page editing tools and a thorough grounding in the HTML language. Students complete the certificate program by electing either the art course in Web Design or the computer science course in Web Programming. This combination prepares individuals with the technical competence to design attractive and innovative Web pages.
The certificate program serves two types of students: traditional students who want to augment their major and improve employability by adding Webmaster skills, and professionals interested in the essentials of Web page design.
