The Online University of Wisconsin Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and Technology is a degree completion program designed for students who already have some college credits or a liberal arts-based associate degree. You are eligible for admission to this degree if you have completed at least *60 semester credits of transferable coursework with a 2.0 or better grade point average (GPA).

Some HIMT courses have *prerequisites. If you have not completed some or all of the prerequisites as part of an associate degree or prior coursework, you will need to complete them before taking specific courses. UW campus equivalents or other college/university equivalents may be substituted. The prerequisites are listed below:

• College Algebra
• Introductory Biology
• Introductory Communications

*UW-Parkside may not offer these courses online each semester.  Students are able to take online courses at UW-Colleges online and those credits can be transferred to UW-Parkside.
