About the Staff
Norman Cloutier
Professor Norman Cloutier is Director of the Center for Economic Education, and Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He has been teaching economics for more than 25 years. Professor Cloutier has twice received the UW-Parkside Stella C. Gray Teaching Excellence Award and he has received the University of Wisconsin Regents Teaching Excellence Award. He has published numerous articles in refereed professional journals on the economics of urban problems, labor markets, econometrics, and economics pedagogy. In 2004, he was awarded the UW-Parkside Faculty Distinguished Service Award and was named a Wisconsin Idea Fellow by the UW-System Board of Regents for his contribution to economic development issues. In 2008, he was named Rookie of the Year by the (national) Council for Economic Education and the National Association of Economic Educators in recognition of the programming in the UW-Parkside CEE.
Dennis Kaufman
Professor Dennis Kaufman is Associate Director of the Center for Economic Education, and Associate Professor of Economics, and Chair of the Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He has been teaching economics for more than 20 years. Professor Kaufman has twice been nominated for the UW-Parkside Stella C. Gray Teaching Excellence Award. He has published articles in refereed professional journals on economics pedagogy, public economics and environmental economics. In addition, he has developed web-based interactive graphs and tutorials and served as a consultant and content developer for several major academic publishers.
Farida Khan
Professor Farida Khan is Associate Director of the Center for Economic Education, and Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She has taught economics at the university level since 1984. Her areas of specialization are international economics, economic development, and applied general equilibrium modeling. She has published articles in refereed professional journals and in specialized books. She is on the editorial board of the Journal of Bangladesh Studies and has worked extensively with the World Bank and other economic development organizations. She brings economic topics to other disciplines such as International Studies, Women's Studies, Ethnic Studies, Political Science, Business, and History at UW-Parkside.
